MOSCOW (Reuters) -     A Russian court said on Friday it had extended the pre-trial detention of U.S. citizen Joseph Tater by one month.

Tater was detained in August last year and accused of abusing staff at a Moscow hotel, something he denied.

He faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
